ABOUT US
The Garbage Truck is a food truck serving the legendary Rochester, NY Trash Plate in Charlotte, NC.
The Garbage Truck (TGT) opened in 2011 serving the streets of sunny Los Angeles, CA. TGT brought the famous Western New York dish, the Trash Plate, to the west coast before opening another food truck in Charlotte, NC in 2018. In addition to serving the Trash Plate, TGT serves all-American foods with their own special twist.
The Garbage Truck has created their own special meat hot sauce and "crack sauce", which are both featured throughout the signature dishes.

Manager
Summary
The Garbage Truck (TGT) is a food truck owned by a Rochester, NY native. Taking the legendary Rochester “Trash Plate” coast to coast, we are now serving on trucks in both Los Angeles, CA and Charlotte, NC. Along with the trash plate, TGT serves all- American foods with it’s own special twist.
We’re looking to hire a Manager for our Charlotte, NC based food truck. This person must be ready to take on the many hats that comes with managing the truck. We love to have fun while we’re on the truck, so we’re looking for someone fun personable to come join our team.
Responsibilities
Manage day-to-day operations of the truck
Prepare and serve food
Support other staff members and their positions
Must be able to learn and perform all positions on the truck
Clean and maintain truck and equipment (pre and post service shifts)
Safely drive truck
Manage inventory of truck (including serving materials, general cleaning supplies, and food for service)
Represent The Garbage Truck brand in a responsible manner
Requirements
Ability to learn and perform all positions on the truck
1+ year experience working in the food service industry
Willing to work late night hours (often until 3am on Friday and Saturday nights) and weekends
Ability to work in a fast-paced, team environment while maintaining high quality service
Clean driving record
Willing to get Food Safe Certificate (if you do not already have one)
Reliable transportation
Salary is based on experience

We’re looking to hire a Cook for BOTH our Charlotte, NC based food truck and our Take out Location The Garbage Can. This person must have experience in preparing and serving food. We love to have fun while we’re on the truck, so we’re looking for someone fun and personable to come join our team.

We’re looking to hire an employee to clean our Charlotte, NC based food truck. This position will be responsible for cleaning the truck after service prior to the next shift. We love to have fun while we’re on the truck, so we’re looking for someone fun and personable to come join our team.
Responsibilities
Clean truck and equipment after service prior to next shift
Perform thorough cleaning of equipment on a regular basis
Represent The Garbage Truck brand in a responsible manner
Requirements
Prior experience working in janitorial services
Experience on a food truck or in kitchen is a plus
Willing to work weekends
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining high quality service
Willing to get Food Safe Certificate (if you do not already have one)
